On 15 November, the Youth can team from Ariogala visited the Audiovisual Translation Laboratory of Kaunas Humanities Faculty of Vilnius University.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to get a closer look at the development of the film industry, to see the short film "The Arrival of the Train to the Station", released in 1896, which was called a true cinematic miracle.
Youth also listened to a lecture on the subtleties of audio-visual translation by associate professor Dr. Jurgita Kerevičienė. Besides, they tried to translate cartoon and create subtitles.
After gaining knowledge at the university, young people went to the A.C. Patria Open Youth Centre "Vartai". There, they not only played various games but also explored the activities of the center and learned about local and international volunteering opportunities.
At the end of a day full of emotions and excitement, the youth of Ariogala played an impromptu bowling match.
Thank you to Jurgita Kerevičienė, VU KNF lecturer, and the staff of the Open Youth Centre "Vartai" for the meaningful activities and interesting conversations!
