Impressions of the 5th "Youth Can" summer camp

7-14 July The fifth "Youth Can" summer camp took place in Pumpėnai, Lithuania.

This year 65 youth from all over Lithuania took part in the camp.

During the camp, youth learned entrepreneurship, improved communication, public speaking and teamwork skills.

They also actively participated in various activities: organised sports games, screening of the film " Irklais per Atlantą", and spent evenings around the campfire (reflecting on the day's activities, singing, distributing camp post).

The campers put their knowledge into practice at the "Pumpėnai Festival" on 13 July. Here, the participants sold coffee and lemonade, offered various activities and souvenirs, and created festive make-up for the event.

The campers were helped to prepare for the festival by the lessons of lecturers with many years of experience. Gabrielė Mankauskaitė - Juknevičienė, Raimonda Kostiuškevičiūtė-Ohnjec and Antanas Jurevičius taught campers entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

Throughout the week, the youth created strategic business plans, made decorations and filmed commercials for their future business.

Ingrida Rauličkienė, Ugnė Bagušinskaitė, Milda Derkintė, Emiliija Greviškytė and Aistė Baronaitė - Bertašienė helped them and prepared them for a potential challenges.

The camp was topped off and the young participants' impressions were further enhanced by the Pumpėnai Festival concert. GJan, DJ Jovani, G&G Sindikatas, Kastytis Kerbedis and others gave impressive performances.

During the festival, the campers not only put their entrepreneurial knowledge into practice, but also contributed to the improvement of Pumpėnai's infrastructure.The profits will be used to build basketball and playgrounds.
